Where It All Started
I’ve always cared about the way things look and feel. Whether it was making flyers for my church, putting together cool designs for class presentations, or switching up my room decor with the seasons, design was always part of me. Back then I thought it was all about how things looked. Now I know it’s also about how people experience them.
Learning How People + Tech Connect
In college, I studied Cognitive Science with minors in Computer Science and Music, basically learning how people interact with technology and how artificial intelligence mimics us. That led me into Product Management, where I got to work on large-scale infrastructure projects at Microsoft. I loved driving strategy, aligning teams, and making sure products shipped. But at the same time, I wanted to be closer to the idea itself, to the actual experience of the people using what we built. That’s when I leaned more into UX design.
PM + UX Together
For me, UX and PM aren’t separate lanes. They inform each other. PM gave me the skills to manage roadmaps, stakeholders, and execution at scale. UX gave me the tools to advocate for users, test assumptions, and design experiences that actually work for real people. Together, they help me see the full picture: how to build the right thing, and how to build it right.
Why Accessibility Matters
Accessibility is a big part of why I care so much. My sister was born with a rare condition that affects her vision, mobility, and learning. Growing up, I watched her get shut out of things, not because she wasn’t capable, but because the world wasn’t designed for her. That’s why I believe design isn’t just about aesthetics or abstract personas. It’s about real people, sometimes the people closest to us, and making sure products are for everyone.
Where I Am Now
Today, I bring both lenses, product strategy and user experience, to the table. I love creating beautiful, thoughtful designs, but also working cross-functionally to bring those ideas to life. Whether in a PM role, a design role, or somewhere in between, my goal is the same: to help create products that are inclusive, impactful, and meaningful.
